Swimming is taught by professional coaches at Cowan House Co-educational Preparatory School, and the fact that five school records were broken at the Senior Primary Gala this term shows how standards are improving. Grace College pupil, Matthew Menear (Grade 12), scored 129 runs off just 78 balls against Wembley College recently and followed that up with 61runs not out against Faithway College. Congratulations Matthew on these sterling performances on the Cricket pitch.
Grace College held its annual Inter-house Gala at the St Anne’s pool recently. Sunny skies, a spirited atmosphere and exciting swimming, all made for a great Gala. Six records tumbled altogether and swimmers are to be commended for their efforts. Carmel were the overall winners, with Sinai in second place and Ararat in third position. A heartfelt thank you goes to St Anne’s for the use of their facilities as well as to all involved in making this a successful event.

After the AGM our new President is George Oldham. Dave Trickett, Thelma Mylne, Barry Collier and Chris Purchase remain on the committee and new members are Arthur Daugherty, Mike and Nina Guest and Fred Palmer. We thank all these people for their willingness to serve our club and wish them well in their term of office.
The Inter House Swimming Gala took place on 15 February 2016. This year's winners were once again Newnham House, who won the gala for the fourth consecutive year. The Spirit Shield was shared between Churchill House and Pearce House.

Cowan House Co-educational Preparatory School, in Hilton, was delighted to host the HeronBridge 1st XI and U11 Cricket teams from Johannesburg. This is a tour of great tradition, now in its 9th year, which provides sporting experiences and fosters friendships for the boys, parents and coaches alike.

A bunch of Laddsworth Primary School swimmers enjoyed completing the Aquelle Midmar Mile 2016 swim. Those who brought their medals to school were congratulated by our Headmaster, Gavin Lambooy, in Assembly on Monday.
To celebrate the birthday of Scouting’s Founder, Lord Robert Baden-Powell, which was on 21 February, cubs and scouts around the globe wear their uniforms. Annually at Laddsworth Primary School we see a growing number of pupils joining this movement which teaches life skills; including how to be good citizens, learning ways to improve the world as well as indoor and outdoor challenges.
Grace College was founded in 1999 and are still passionate now, as back then, about providing sound academic education in a private, co-educational, day scholar environment.
