Planned closure of the MR139-2 (Dennis Shepstone Road) between Hilton and Sweet Waters Areas on Sunday, 23 October 2016 from 5am to 5pm. The purpose of the closure is to construct a rock fill layer through the full width of a max. 100 long section of the road near the Edendale turn-off from the Denis Shepstone Road MR139-2.
The detour will be provided at both the Edendale turn-off and the Knoll Road turn-off (both on MR139-2) which will take them through the Mbutshane Area along DR2069 and MR399/MR741. The detour contains a gravel section on DR2069 (Knoll Road) which is ± 2,5 kilometres. The total detour is approx. 7 kilometres. The details of the deviation on the attached.
Notice boards will be placed on site on 17/10/2016 and pamphlets will be distributed in time to the locals. Access will be limited to the locals on 23/10/2016.
