Look after your data while you are on holiday
Every material thing in our lives can be replaced. Memories can't. With Backup Bank your memories can be backed up.
If you plan to leave your computer at home with all your memories stored on it for an extended vacation a myriad of problems that can still befall your digital equipment - theft, natural disasters, or just plain old failures.
So when you go on holiday spare a thought for the computers you leave behind and the ones you take with you. We recommend a strategy that starts with backing up the computers you leave at home and having automatic backups of photos and videos you create while on the road with your smartphone.
Before leaving on holiday
Always have at least two recent backups of critical or precious files. One local and one off site (Backup Bank).
On the Road
The advantage of Backup Bank is that so long as you have sufficient bandwidth (or a Wi-Fi connection) to keep the uploads up to date all the pictures and video taken on your smartphone can be automatically uploaded to your Backup Bank Account for safe keeping.
You can set the uploads to your smartphone to only take place over a wireless connection if necessary.
An hour of prevention is worth much more than lost memories . We thus advise that before you leave make sure you have complete backups, and backup photos, and other information you create while on the road. This can reduce the heartache when things go awry, and keep precious digital memories safe even if material ones fade.

What if Santa didn’t come just once a year? This is the question that Chrissie van Niekerk, Vodacom Change the World Volunteer at iThemba Projects, posed to the children at Epworth Primary school. Chrissie shared in their assembly about the fact that often we get excited about sharing and giving only at Christmas time, but don’t think about children in need at any other time of the year. But if children have a need for toys and games at Christmas, don’t they have a need year round?

Meet Erin Tracey, Irish Dance teacher
My name is Erin Tracey and I am currently twenty-three years of age. In 2014 I opened up my own Irish Dancing school in Hilton KZN, Tracey Academy of Irish Dance. I had previously been dancing for many years having competed around the world. I was first trained in Irish Dance in Sydney, Australia. When I relocated back to Durban I was lucky enough to perform at many theatres such as the Playhouse and Elizabeth Sneddon. In 2012 I was selected as one of thirty Irish Dancers in SA to perform in the South African Highland Tattoo at Monte Casino in Gauteng. It was the most amazing experience of my life. I was able to dance in front of 3000 people for a week, every day and every night.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w-jHGs_YJ5c
