Working with ToPS (Threatened or Protected Species)...
Another serval kitten admitted this last week.
This little girl was found alone near a road one evening. After keeping a lookout to see if mom would come to collect her kitten, the kind rescuers decided to bring her through to us the next morning. A big thank you to Melanie and her sons for looking out for this little one.
Other than being quite thin and dehydrated, this little Serval kitten was in good condition, and definitely a little fighter. She is currently drinking well and gaining weight.
We love what we do, and how wed do it...
Top image: This little girl was bright and alert on admission. She had already had a poo in her transport box, so after some initial fluids we could start her straight on some kitty milk.
Below L-R: Despite being underweight, she was otherwise in good condition.
Carlene (FreeMe Wildlife intern) and Josie (FreeMe Wildlife) perform a thorough intake exam and administer fluids and vitamins to help support the kittens immune system.
Finally, the kitten is settled in to a naturally set up room to calm down.
