Thank you, Hilton, for an extraordinary evening! The Drakies brought their world-class sound to the Hilton College Memorial Hall, opening with heavenly harmonies and closing with vibrant African rhythms.
The second half began with Hilton locals, the talented Laddsworth Primary School Choir under the baton of Cecile Jansen. These young choristers did their school proud, and we look forward to collaborating with them again soon.
A special thank you to the DBCS Old Boys currently completing their schooling at Hilton College for supporting your Drakie brothers, it was wonderful to see you back on stage with the choir, with many of your parents in the audience.
Another highlight of the evening was when DBC Conductor and Head of Choral Activities, Jacques Linde, reconnected with fellow former Drakie Tazlo Jacobs (Class of 2013), now Cambridge Subject Lead and Choral Director at St Charles College in Pietermaritzburg.
