Being a vet in South Africa can be a little bit wild.
One minute you’re vaccinating puppies, the next you’re trying to scan cows in a makeshift cattle kraal.
The days are long. The cases can be tough. And things don’t always go the way we hope.
But this job also gives us so much to be grateful for. Incredible animals, farmers and families who trust us with the ones they love, and a profession that takes us from consult rooms to dirt roads and places most people never get to see.
At the end of the day, it’s a massive privilege to do what we do.
