Laddsworth pupil and powerlifter, James McArthur Claims World Title for South Africa!
Grade 6 pupil, James McArthur has been crowned the 2025 WPC (World Powerlifting Championships) Youth Male Champion in the Classic Raw division, in Durban on 4 November 2025.
The 11-year-old dominated the Youth category, securing 1st place and setting three new South African records:
Squat: 80 kg
Bench Press: 40 kg
Deadlift: 130 kg
His combined total of 250 kg also established a new national record.
