Every year we take 50 teens and 50 kids to a 3-day camp on the coast. Camp is a chance for children from Sweetwaters to get away from the everyday pressures of life and experience a bit of what it means to be a kid - as well as have the 24/7 love and attention of their mentor. We've seen time and again that camp has allowed us to forge stronger relationships with kids, giving them the emotional and social support they need to succeed in life.
It's a fun, meaningful highlight.
But it's also, most importantly, a part of a journey that our mentors are on with them, throughout the year.
