'We understand that "development" is a bit of a dirty word in Hilton... but it means more than just commercial development.Our aim is to improve, develop, and maintain sustainable multi-purpose public spaces in Hilton.
Hilton has a broad population of people, and currently the public spaces do not reflect this.
A lot of green areas are overgrown and brimming with alien plant species. They lack basic facilities which would make them more attractive and usable to the community.
Picture trail running and mountain biking tracks, increased pedestrianisation, picnic spots, places for parents to walk safely with prams and young children, hidden places to explore, and perhaps even a skate park or basketball court for teenagers and the young at heart to hang out at.
Public space is for everyone.
