The HRA remains involved with initiatives of the Pietermaritzburg & Midlands Chamber of Business (PMCB) as Pietermaritzburg is facing the same service delivery challenges that Hilton is. We have always endeavoured to build on reasonable and constructive communications with the Municipalities. However, as PMCB has indicated that it appears that their only course of action now will be legal and we too feel that we have reached to end of our tether, the HRA will not hesitate to support the PMCB in taking legal action.FIBRE IN HILTON
As requested by some of our members we are sharing details on fibre installation. An application for a TP (Termination Point) is a first step in the process and is free if you comply with the dates specified. This installation gives you the facility to access the fibre network. The next steps are entirely voluntary – to select and appoint an ISP and connect to the network. If you are happy with your current system you do not have to connect to the fibre network even though you have a TP.
Thank you to the Hilton ratepayers who have responded to our plea for support as contributing members, we have increase membership commitments by 70 plus in the last week, which remains a small representation, but the positive movement is noted.
Once again, if you have not yet done so, please join the Hilton Ratepayers’ Association to help strengthen our arm in defence of your rights. Click here to apply for membership.
We have received more than 100 submissions to our survey and will keep this open for a couple more weeks. Please submit your responses to this quick survey by clicking here.
