After running the HBI (Hilton Business Initiative) project for three years Kate Warr has handed the baton on to Cilla (Pickering) Hilcove. Kate said, ‘Thank you so much to you, the Hilton Community, for your amazing support of me and the project over the past few years. I know the project will only go from strength to strength under Cilla's leadership and with the community’s support.’Kate’s efforts have been appreciated by the Hilton community.
‘Your sacrifice and vision is a great legacy.’ shared Suzanne Hilliar, the Head of Hilton Pre-Primary school.
‘You've made one heck of a difference.’ Said Richard Heathcote on Facebook.
The dramatic impact of this initiative, which is based on the ‘broken windows’ theory and is strongly supported by the Hilton Ratepayers Association, has been a visual delight that will only be sustained through continued hard work and community support.
HBI appeals to the Hilton business community to fund the ongoing garden maintenance, to ease the load by taking care of their own verges or to adopt a garden. Garden Guardians are invited to take care of garden areas that have been identified by the HBI. If you would like more info on how to become a Garden Guardian contact Cilla on 082 722 6768 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
