Legendary South African comedian Mark Banks will be performing his new one-man show On Ice for one night only on Friday 23 August at ANEW Hotel Hilton.

- The only time I have ever been hijacked was in an aeroplane flying from Cape Town to Johannesburg, and I escaped horror by hiding in the toilet.
- I do not have matric.
- I have never been associated with a production of Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.
- I once worked as a very bad counsellor for Lifeline.
- I am notorious for gluing the locks of shops that have irked me.
- I once walked from Johannesburg to Durban in the rain.
- I have the private telephone numbers of more than 15 000 people that I shouldn’t
have – including the public protector. - The last film I saw was in 1983 – I rarely get past the opening credits of a movie.
- I once had a hydroponic cucumber farm in the Karoo and an illegal Cape cobra racing track on a farm outside Oudtshoorn.
- I am fluent in French.
- I have never attempted ice skating.
- I have never been to or done any of the 20 top must-see spots/adventures in South Africa – i.e., I have never been to the top of Table Mountain, or Cape Point, or the Kruger National Park, Robben Island, shark diving… I haven’t even done the wine route.
