Mrs KZN took place at The Chantecler Hotel in Botha’s Hill, Hillcrest on the 30th of March. Melissa took the crown of Mrs KZN at the glamourous red carpet event, along with winning other awards.Living in Hilton, Melissa is a busy wife, mother and business owner. She has been married for more than eight years with two children under age three. She has her own business called, Design Your Style, doing graphic design, image consulting and running a Dress for Success Campaign in the corporates.
As parents Melissa and her husband, Ferenc teach their children to be hard workers, have integrity, to be teachable and to help others at every opportunity one gets. The Mrs KZN pageant is part of the Rolemodels Foundation which does of lot of work with impoverished communities. The pageant’s philanthropic ways played a big role in Melissa ultimately choosing to enter.
RoleModels Foundation is concerned about those suffering inhumane conditions and in particular about children who cannot change their circumstances or the cycle of poverty into which they are born.
They are driven towards creating a stronger future generation. It is their mission to intervene in impoverished communities, in order to create self-sustainability through Education and Skills development; ultimately eradicating poverty. Rolemodels Foundation hosts philanthropic pageants and other fundraisers across South Africa.
Melissa will be working closely with the Foundation, which is a registered NPO in her year of reign.
