Thanks to Barry Collier's sustained effort our green is slowly getting back to its former condition. It is being scarified regularly and all the patches annihilated by fungus in October last year are recovering. Please do your share to protect our most valuable asset by varying the mat position and not dropping bowls onto the surface.
The latest series of league matches ended on Saturday. The second and the third teams each brought home 2 points from Maritzburg West and Umgeni Waterfall respectively. Well done to the winning sides.
This Friday we'll be playing for meat prizes in the IF sponsored trips. Play commences at 08:30.
On Saturday morning, also at 08:30 we will hold the tournament for the Charles Prickett Cup. The morning's bowls will be followed by a lunch sponsored by the Quarry Super Spar.
A number of our members will be going to Umgeni Waterfall club to bowl in a fun competition with fellow bowlers visiting from the UK. Anyone who missed the entry list but would like to play should contact Thelma urgently.
