Calvin Tyne a Grade 5C pupil at Laddsworth Primary School in Hilton ran in the 5km leg of the Maritzburg Marathon on Saturday. The route passes through the historical centre of Pietermaritzburg and finishes at the Natal Carbineers Drill Hall, the medals for competitors were sponsored by the Natal Carbineers. Calvin's achievement was acknowledged in assembly by Headmaster, Gavin Lambooy.
