John Fowler is harvesting potatoes at the moment, so several people have won lovely spuds over the past few weeks. Thanks John for your ongoing encouragement for our bowlers.
Although the weather was very threatening on Thursday the rain held off and four games of trips were played.
The second league team hosted Maritzburg club on Saturday. George Oldham led his four to an emphatic win while the other rink lost narrowly after a close tussle all afternoon. The net result was that we took three of the five points on offer. Both teams will be playing away this coming weekend. The seconds will travel to Collegians and the thirds will play at Alexandra Park.
On Saturday morning five of our members received badges and certificates from BSA having successfully completed the Level 1 Technical Officials course. Our new umpires are Margie Meek, George Oldham, Tom Hartley, Dave Garrard and Derick Hull.

We have introduced a small change in the duty lists in that we will in future allocate two people to do the tabs. Please check the list on the board to see if you are affected. Arrange a swop with someone else on the list if you will be away.
