Once again, rain prevented play on Tuesday, but we played happily on Thursday. John Fowler provided some super young potatoes as prizes. Winners were the Plukes and Vince Seale. Jenny Hammond was rewarded for scoring six touchers. Thanks to John.
The Prickett Cup competition was played on Saturday following a generous lunch provided by Quarry Spar. Winners of the trophy and vouchers from Spar were Derick Hull, Bill McQuade and John Bayley. In second place were Jean and John Pluke and Arthur Daugherty. Third place went to Tom Hartley, Joan Byrom and Mike Guest. Well done to the victors and sincere thanks to Spar for their support for our club.
The draws for the Men's and Women's nominated pairs are on the board. Entrants are urged to play all their games promptly. Our new competitions secretary, Dave Garrard has warned that those who do not complete matches timeously will be scratched.
