With effect from 1st July 2013 the minimum wage for workers within this sector increase as below:
• For employers with 10 or less employees the monthly wage is R2415.86 and the hourly rate R12.39
• For employers with more than 10 employees the monthly wage is R2,692.74 and the hourly rate R13.81
This agreement takes us through to 20th June 2016, with a year on year increase of CPI + 1.5%.
In addition please note that should you, the employer provide a uniform, the employer shall not:
• Require an employee to pay for the uniform
• Require the employee to pay any form of deposit for the uniform
• Deduct from the remuneration of the employee to pay for the uniform
• Deduct from the remuneration of the employee any uniform deposit
