Capulum College students collected food and money for Free-me, a wildlife rehabilitation center based in Howick. On Thursday 23 May our high schoolers visited the center to hand over their donation and here they were taken on a tour of the facility by Brian. Ros, a Free-me representative gave an insightful talk.
The students were able to view the injured animals, handle (with great care) chicks that were being hand reared and were shown and taught about the organic vegetable garden. It was such a valuable experience, not only from an educational point but also to teach the children the importance of charity and community service. Free-me is close to our heart and we continue to support the wonderful work they do!
