The annual Ronnie Davel Race sponsored by Moffatt Optical and hosted at Laddsworth Primary School by Hilton Harriers, took off smoothly once again as the bagpipes sounded.
After a couple of rainy days, the organisers and runners were blessed with good running weather, overcast and mild. The fun run route was quite wet and muddy which all took in their stride and enjoyed.
Runners commented that this is one of the most well organised and generously sponsored races in the road race calendar, so cheers to all involved. Runners also shared that they found this year's 16km route was great without the big hill they had endured last year.
