On Sunday 8th January 2012 Hilton Harriers hosted another successful Ronnie Davel Run at Laddsworth Primary School in Hilton, KZN, in the pleasantly cool morning air runners set off against the inspiring sounds of bagpipes.The event, sponsored by Moffatt Optical and Morris Cranes was made more exciting with the participation of Zola Budd, who won the ladies race and is reported to have been wearing running shoes. Research indicates that our famous South Africa lady runner has been choosing to run in 'barefoot shoes' to combat recurring injuries. It really does make sense to wear shoes for protection when competing in any off-track races.
