Hilton is privileged to be home to Africa's only restaurant serving authentic Polish cuisine!

Traditionally Polish cuisine has roots in exotic places like Armenia, Lithuania and Hungary with accents of Italian, French and Jewish cooking. Typically rich in meat, especially chicken and pork, noodles, winter vegetables and spices.  Polish meals are hearty and they require time consuming preparation. The Polish enjoy festive meals which sometimes include dishes that take two days to prepare.

At Little Poland you will find a traditional Polish Menu including specialties that were once presented to Polish knights, nobilities and even Kings.  These delectable dishes will spoil even the most fastidious taste buds!

Your hosts are Mira and Zbyszek Staszowski. Mira ensures all dishes are prepared using original recipes and unique imported products to reflect genuine flavour of traditional Polish food.  Little Poland offers catering for banquets, parties, weddings and other special occasions. They also supply local stores with traditional Polish sausages and other delicacies.

You can surprise your partner, family or guests with the taste and hospitality of Poland.  Even if they are not big meat eaters they will enjoy crab and avo salad, delicious mushroom options or a choice of fish from the menu. Give them a chance to be pampered with scrumptious heartwarming food fit for a King!!

Little Poland is open for lunch from Wednesday to Saturday from 12.00 noon until 2.30pm and for dinner on Tuesday to Saturday from 6.00pm until 9.30pm. We will open on closed days for pre-booked parties of 20 or more diners.

Hidden Jewel

I'm always surprised at how many Hiltonians will answer "no, not yet" when asked whether they've ever been to Little Poland. As a relative newcomer, Little Poland was one of the places that most intrigued me when I moved here, and which I have visited more than any other local restaurant with my wife. I just know I'll always enjoy the experience. Mira has created a jewel of a venue. Small, cosy, intimate and homely - it genuinely feels like you're eating in someone's dining room, and the food is wholesome and truly delicious. Similar to German cuisine (plenty of pork dishes) the menu has one mouth watering choice after another. The goulash comes highly recommended on a cold Winter's evening and, as does the "Polish Wine" (a powerful cherry-flavoured spirit) and if you're a fan of German Eisbein, you must try the Polish version, the Golonka. Brace yourself - the portions are big. This isn't wildly expensive eating, nor is it cheap, but the value is good, the portions are big and the quality is excellent.
